Rajesh has 20 years of experience practicing intellectual property law. His current practice encompasses patents, copyright, trademarks, entertainment and art law. He has advised clients on issues related to music licensing, TV/film production and copyright infringement as well as copyright transfer and inheritance concerning works of art held in family estates. Rajesh began his legal career focusing on software patents and has subject matter expertise in the field of developing and managing U.S. and international patent portfolios.


Rajesh has represented clients at the Trademark Trial & Appeal Board, the Copyright Office Review Board, the Copyright Office Claims Board, in patent reexaminations and in web domain dispute arbitrations. He has taught Music Copyright Law at the University of North Texas and has been listed as a leading I.P. attorney by both the IAM Patent 1000 and World Trademark Review 1000. He holds a J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, an M.A. in Music Industry from the University of Miami and a B.S. in Computer Science from The Ohio State University. His graduate work at Miami included software research that analyzed the originality of Gen-AI music compositions. In 2024, he presented the preliminary results of his research at the Annual Conference of the International Society for Music Information Retrieval (ISMIR). Rajesh is a Registered U.S. Patent Attorney and is licensed to practice law in California, Massachusetts and Arizona (inactive).
